• During the month of August, everyone in grades 3-12, is encouraged to sign up for LTC (Leadership Training for Christ) events. Sign-up sheets will be located on the bulletin board in the foyer every Sunday in August. Contact Jared or Ashely Coburn.
  
  Evelyn Kallies' older sister passed away Wednesday after a fall three weeks ago. She was residing in a nursing home in Universal City.
  
  Marcy Ludwig's niece, Claudette Osborn, has been battling cancer for several years and had to begin another chemotherapy series last Monday. Claudette lives in Sutherland Springs.
  
  Keith Johanson asked for prayers for Mary O'Connor, an employee of the trucking company used by La Vernia Pump & Supply. She has just been diagnosed with liver cancer.
  
  GVEC Blood Drive, Friday August 27th in their parking lot in La Vernia from 2:30-6:00 P.M. See Ashley Coburn if you are interested in participating in this worthy cause.
  
  Congratulations to Leanna Denson and the whole Denson family. Leanna was baptized into Christ last Sunday morning by her father, Brad.
  
  Songbook Supplement: We now have legal permission to print songs for insertion into our maroon supplemental songbook. If you have a song you would like to have added, please let Becky Johanson know and she will research it to see if it is on the list of songs we can reprint.
  
  Missing: a green card table from the fellowship hall. If you know where it is, please contact Rhonda Bone.
  
  Also Missing: Things (especially the stuffed animals) keep disappearing from the Cradle Roll classroom even when the cabinet is locked. Other teachers have also voiced concerns abut missing/disturbed items in their classrooms. If you borrow an item or classroom, don't forget that teachers count on having their resources in place for class each week.

Anniversaries in August:
